In cultuur nog onbekende specie uit Ecuador. Lijkt de voorkeur te hebben aan een schaduwrijke omgeving, dus niet in de volle zon.
Betreffende min temperatuur is nog niets bekent. Wij denken aan z´n 12°C voorlopig.
Ook over bloeiwijze en kleur bloem kunnen wij voorlopig niets zeggen. Blad is decoratief te noemen met zijn mooi paarse onderkant, en lijkt veel op het blad van P. picturata.
