Lijkt veel op P. morifolia, echter de vruchten verschillen toch wel duidelijk. De Vruchten van P. warmiingii zijn voorzien van kleine stekeltjes wat toch wel heel apart is.
Op de foto is het ook duidelijk te zien. Verder in verzorging zal dit soort weinig problemen geven. min temp 8 °C.
